WTF? SNOW? In the Little Karoo?

Yeah, well, it finally happened! Bloody snow in the Little Karoo - saw it in my own garden! This is quite normal for you lot that stay a hop & a skip from one of the poles but here! Not on your Nellie! & the rain - been going on for the last four or five days now! My newly planted onion patch looks like a fairly well established rice paddy! Do'nt like it! Not at all! And the we had damn wind storms as well - leaks all over the place & the river is rising rapidly. Some guy's have measured up to 120mm over the l;ast 2 days. Enough allready. I saw the sun for 5 minutes today & got all bleary-eyed. Miss the heat & the sun & wondering when we gonna get rain again!
I must admit that anything below 22'C is classed as cold by me & anything less is damn freezing. Anyway, here are some pics of something (according to the aged ones here) that has NEVER happened before!

  1. Relax, Llew. Some dick wad will turn up to beat The Aged Ones over the head with some 'Scientific Evidence' that " Climate Change " is as off the scale fucking stupid a notion as the US Republican's insistence that Adam and Eve really Do figure in all our pedigrees.

Then they'll quote some time when there Was snow in your neck of the woods. Trusting ye Not to realise they're actually referring to some earlier fucking 'Ice Age'.

Here, in Eire? More fucking rain than Anyone can remember ever being talked about by their Grand Parents.

But, Still the bespectacled loud talkers will brow beat the living fuck out of Anyone who dare utter such 'unscientific' sacrilege as terms like " Climate Change " or " Global Warming ".

Listen, mate; When the Met Office *Consistently* can't even accurately predict if it's going to rain, or not, tomorrow (Even though it's now a given that it will)?

That's when I walk out in my waterproofs and go listen to The Aged Ones.

    1. I have allways been under the impression that the "Met" boy's are smoking some really bad shit or old socks or something. :D They did predict snow for the 'high ground' - we are about 350 meters. Did'nt think that was high. Our problem is that we are classed politically as the Overberg but Geographically as the Little Karoo - go figure! ;)
